Field Trip to Lynlott Miniatures in Pittsburgh!

On our way back from 4th of July holiday we had the chance to stop at Lynlott Miniatures just outside Pittsburgh. I've wanted to check this place out ever since I found them on the Internet a few months ago (www.dollhousejunction.com). It was definitely worth making the pit stop. I usually order mini accessories online because I'm not always able to travel. And brick and mortar mini-stores are getting rarer and rarer these days. But every once in a while I want to see the minis in real time and hold them and pour over them for a while. Plus, you can't beat the friendly customer service. :) So I just had to give them a shout out.

Check out some of these neat little minis:

I found a glass cake stand with a cover that is large enough to hold my 1:12 scale frosted cakes! I can't wait to craft a pastry for this one.

The landscaping totally rocks!

Oodles of room scenes....it took some patience to set this up...

Reutter porcelain - spectacular!

A veritable gold mine of accessories

Thank you for the lovely handmade wicker table - perfect for our sewing room!

  1. I can not imagine the joy in being a shop like this. You're very lucky! The glass plate cake is beautiful, the wicker table is wonderful!

  2. Beautiful cake dish! I'm looking forward to seeing what you make for it!
Thank you for sharing Lynlott with us!

  3. Thanks for the comments! We had a great time and Debbie is the best! I can't wait to get started on the cake. I've been looking for a cake dish like this one for a looooong time.

    Have a wonderful week everyone!
