Still Christmas Around Here...

Happy New Year everyone! I'm still working on these ornaments for everyone I had intended to give one to for Christmas. But like everything else...it's taking more time than usual because of the challenges living with lupus. I tackle a little bit everyday when I'm not resting or my hands just won't work. I think if I can get them all done by Valentine's Day... I'll be doing pretty good, ha! :) I can't wait to get these completed so I can start work on my first ever giveaway contest for my lovely followers here on the blog...so stay tuned!

Hope you're all having fun with your minis. Thanks for stopping by to check out mine! Many mini hugs!

Christmas cookies!

A "forest" of decorated trees, one for each ornament scene!
My first go with mini spaghetti.
And another mini gingerbread house!

A round tin of Italian treats - pizelles! A delicate Italian waffle cookie.

A pizelle "sandwich" with vanilla ice cream and raspberries.
Mmmm..spaghetti with meatballs! My favorite meal growing up!
Of course, a little loaf of bread in the oven.
Gingerbread people fresh from the "oven."

I love these teeny tiny Christmas lights. Found them 75% off at A.C. Moore at their after Christmas sale. They look soooo real on the miniature trees!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Many mini hugs! :)

Vermont Dollhouse - More Work on the Conservatory Addition

Both additions have been painted and attached, they look marvelous! Real Good Toys is a win win for quality dollhouse materials! Just need to add the shingles and the exteriors are done!
Where in the world we're going to find a table/dollhouse stand to fit this very large house, I have no idea yet, but we'll figure something out. For now, our kitchen table is it. :)
The inside of the Conservatory addition - a.k.a. "music room" without the flooring installed.
A $1.26 block of adhesive backed vinyl tile from Home Depot made a terrific "marble" floor that took a minute to cut and install. Who knew?
The window interiors need framed, and we'll add a guitar, cello, music stand, perhaps a flute and some chairs, and some music infused pictures on the wall, and this room will be complete!

The lovely piano was purchased from Hobby Lobby.
The future dining room on the first floor, and a child's bedroom  on the second floor. We want to select just the right interior design and furniture. Woot Woot! :) We spray painted the ceiling in the dining room white first before installing wallpaper - learned THAT the hard way with the main house!
The main house - still a work in progress, eventually we'll add curtains and pictures on the walls, really personalize it and make it "cozy."
The staircase will be upgraded with posts and a railing.

These rooms definitely cry out for curtains and some floor rugs for warmth.

Lots of creativity waiting to be explored in here. :)

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog!

Vermont Farmhouse...still under construction...

The second addition is nearly done! The first addition, the conservatory, went up rather quickly. Easy peasy too! :) We just have the flooring and the interior window molding to install. A delightful wallpaper with musical notes on it was a perfect pick for the dolls' brand new music room...we even put the miniature baby grand inside to see how it would look.

Thank you so much for stopping by! :) Happy New Year everyone! With any luck we'll have the second addition done by then.

More Mini Stoves - More Fun! :)

Hello and Happy Holidays to all my fellow bloggers and miniaturists! Hope you are all enjoying the holidays! It's great to have a break from the usual chaotic pace of life, so the slower lazier days of this week offers much for me to embrace and appreciate the rest.

I have a LOT of pictures for this post, finally catching up on posting about my progress repairing a huge lot of broken stoves that I purchased for a "song" from my favorite local miniature shop - Gibby's Dollhouses and Miniatures in Westminster, MD. And, the rest has been helpful and my hands eased up enough to allow me to complete another miniature stove ornament, only 5 more left to make, LOL. They might be finished by the 4th of July the way my hands have been feeling lately. They get sore much sooner, and my fingers lock up, and I have to stop and take many breaks in between. Sometimes the exhaustion piles on top of that, and it's a while before I can make a comeback. But it's okay, I work when I can and really learn to appreciate the moments when I am physically adept enough to create. I love my minis, and I miss them when I can't work with them.

This Pennsylvania Dutch stove came with no legs, three of the doors missing, and very banged up in general. A light sanding, a coat of black, flat spray paint, and the addition of wooden furniture legs and polymer clay molded doors and it looks almost like new again!

One of the Pennsylvania Dutch stoves was also missing a faucet, silver polymer clay to the rescue!
The second stove was in far worse shape, all the doors were missing, and handles, so I had to do the best I could with clay and bead wire.
Another mini stove ornament - my first try with a bag of marshmallows, S'mores, and a tiny gingerbread house.

I love making these fruit trays, now that I got the hang of making the two-tiered dessert stands!

The Conservatory addition for the Vermont Farmhouse Jr. manufactured by Real Good Toys in Vermont. They make the best dollhouses! All the pieces are accurately cut and fit together easily, assembly is a snap. My youngest got this addition, and the two-story addition, from Santa, to add to her farmhouse. This will be the music room, she wants to be a music teacher one day. :)
Major construction area...lol...in our kitchen.
The main house - we put this together 5 years ago.
With the conservatory - not yet attached, but making progress on the exterior.
Starting work on the other addition, this house is going to be HUGE !!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Many mini-hugs to all for the New Year!
